Engineer Project Manager 2
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) is a premiere transportation organization whose mission is to responsibly operate and manage a safe, reliable and efficient toll road system, serve as a transportation services leader and foster innovation to better serve our customers. Opened since October 1, 1940, the PTC operates a 552-mile system used by 194 million vehicles a year.
The PTC is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill an “Engineer Project Manager 2” position within its Design Engineering Department. This position works independently performing preliminary engineering studies, conducting location/foundation investigations and preparing plans/specifications. This position is located at the PTC’s Central Office in Middletown, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides guidance to lower-level engineers and provides project supervision to consultants.

Performs duties requiring a broad knowledge and application of engineering principles and practices as they relate to all phases of assigned projects and job duties.

Participates in the full lifecycle of assigned projects including development of the scope of work, selection of consultants, preparation of plans, specifications and costs estimates.

Monitors and maintains documentation of project scheduling and activity to ensure project compliance.

Participates in field reviews and surveys.Identifies potential problems and submits recommendations for solution.
Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Engineering or other related discipline

Six years of engineering experience in a transportation environment (possession of a valid Engineer in Training certificate may be used to substitute four years of experience)*

Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
* Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered
The annual salary range for this position is $60,981-$91,472.
