The Cleveland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is comprised of Civil Engineers working and/or residing within the Northeast area of the State of Ohio. The Section was established to provide a forum where Civil Engineers could meet to expand their technical knowledge, discuss and exchange ideas concerning professional and technical matters, and participate in social functions.
Please contact our President or Secretary to find out more about how you can become involved! There are many volunteer opportunities as well. Please contact our Outreach Coordinator for more information.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the ASCE Cleveland Section Scholarship fund. Your generous contributions are already helping the Cleveland Section provide scholarships to future civil engineers in the Cleveland area. In April of 2017 we awarded two civil engineering students from CSU a $500 scholarship at the Annual Student Dinner Meeting. The CWRU awards were presented to the students at the Geotechnical Institute Event on May 2nd. Thanks our supporters the most recent awards were double the amount awarded in 2016 and ten times the amount awarded in 2015. Our goal is to successively raise these scholarship amounts by $250 each year until 2019, when we plan to award four $1000 scholarships. It is the Scholarship Committee’s ultimate goal to raise enough money for an endowment by the year 2025 so the fund is self-sustaining and can be indexed to the cost of tuition.
Individual Sponsors: Jamie Hain, The Benovics.
Have a safe and enjoyable rest of your summer,
