Welcome to the Cleveland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers

The Cleveland Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is comprised of Civil Engineers working and/or residing within the Northeast area of the State of Ohio. The Section was established to provide a forum where Civil Engineers could meet to expand their technical knowledge, discuss and exchange ideas concerning professional and technical matters, and participate in social functions.

Please contact our President or Secretary to find out more about how you can become involved!

It is hard to believe all that has happened this summer. The Cavaliers “earned” the title of NBA Champions and the City of Cleveland celebrated, one million strong.  The City Hosted the Republican National Convention and our Men and Women in Blue kept us safe and made us proud. The Group Plan Commission delivered on their promise to convert Public Square from an intersection to a vibrant public space.  The City of Cleveland completed terminal renovations at Hopkins International Airport, and ASCE Cleveland was on-hand to re-dedicate the airport as a National Civil Engineering Landmark.

This coming year, in addition to providing breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings with inspiring, thought provoking speakers, ASCE Cleveland will be focusing on four key initiatives:

Promote the world premier ASCE’s IMAX Movie: Dream Big: Engineering Wonders of the World

Develop a Regional Report Card to compliment the 2017 Report Card for America’s Infrastructure

Partner with the CMSD to Establish a Civil Engineering Club at Orchard STEM School

Create a Sustainable College Scholarship Program  -  See how you can help. Scroll down to end of Awards Section for Scholarship Fund Information!

On behalf of myself, Vice President Matt Benovic, Treasurer Ryan Butler, Secretary Ryan O’Hearn, the Board of Directors and the Committee Chairs we invite you to make plan to join us as we embark on our second century of service to the Civil Engineering Profession and the City of Cleveland.
