Our section is divided into geographical areas Walla Walla, Tri Cities, Pendelton and Yakima which are represented on the Section Board by Area Directors, they are elected for three year terms. They have no specific duties but as board members help govern the section activities. They are looked upon in the past as focal points for the area, aiding in setting up meetings, organizing activities for that area, requesting funds from the section's treasury, etc. In the past Walla Walla was holding its own luncheons Sep-Jun, The section would generally participate in WWC annual student dinner in the spring and help with the student civil engineering club. We have also supported a engineering contest at local schools (egg drop, bridge building) during engineer week. There are about 60 folks in the WW & CP area, I have attached a list. (Please do not release/use the list for any business other that ASCE) Hope you will consider taking challenge or at least take the role for director this year. Our board meetings have been the first Wed of the month-lately a working lunch, but we can change the tme or consider a teleconference.
