ASCE Hong Kong Section is pleased to present a Leisure Activity of hiking and BBQ. Below are some details:

Hiking from Siu Sai Wan to Shek O and BBQ at Shek O
Date: 18 April 2004 (Sunday)
Time: 9: 30 a.m., arrive Shek O at around 1:00 p.m.
Assemble at: In front of McDonald fastfood restaurant, Island Resort commercial centre, Siu Sai Wan Bus Terminal (小西灣藍灣商場)

Fee for BBQ: $40 per person (Free of charge for guests below the age of 8).

Program Highlight:

Route: Siu Sai Wan Island Resort 小西灣藍灣商場 => Cape Collinson 歌連臣角 => Potinger Peak 砵甸乍山 => Tai Long Wan 大浪灣 => Shek O 石澳 (about 5 km)

The route is designed for family members (excluding small children under the age of 5) to enjoy the pleasure of light hiking. The route requires about three hours for participants to enjoy fresh air and natural views of Hong Kong - beautiful sea views of the Tathong Channel and Tai Long Wan and land views. The last section in Shek O alongside narrow vehicular roads requires some care and discipline. Participants may choose to enjoy BBQ after the trip or simply depart at Shek O, or can join the BBQ direct without hiking first.

Clothing and Refreshment:

Please put on suitable clothes and footwear; avoid wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts and bring along sufficient fresh water. An umbrella or cap and some snacks may be suitable.

Registration and Enquires:

Registration is required. Please fill in the Registration Form below and deposit the appropriate amount of BBQ fee (if any) to HSBC Bank Account No. 197-426059-001 (please get bank receipt and bring it to the BBQ). Then send the completed registration form to us by mail or e-mail on or before 6 April 2004. You are welcomed to bring a few guests with you. However, please kindly specify the number of guests when you sign up. BBQ fees are not refundable.
