"Indiana Civil Engineer" Is Honored !

 

Indiana Section Wins National ASCE Newsletter Award

 

The Indiana Section’s newsletter, Indiana Civil Engineer, was presented the 2003 ASCE National Newsletter Award for Large Sections at the Zone II Leadership Conference in New Orleans on January 24, 2004. There are three categories in the competition: Small Sections (1000 members or less), Large Sections (1001 to 2000 members) and Very Large Sections (greater than 2000 members).

 

The primary function of the newsletter is to keep the membership informed of the various activities of ASCE at the local, state, district and national level.

The overall evaluations are based on newsletter format, newsletter content and special features. These topics for evaluation include:

Attractive & economical use of space.

bullet

Clear consistent style.

bullet

Articles relevant to a large portion of members.

bullet

Regional and national issues.

bullet

Effective use of photos.
