This is the Annual Christmas Banquet held in conjunction with

from the “editor:”
We at the SEI wish you a blessed holiday season. As the year comes
to a close, I will be “handing the reins” over to
Mary Jo Hamman
of Edwards and Kelcey as our new Chairman! Please take your first
opportunity to congratulate her and offer any suggestions!
* The
Indianapolis SEI group has sponsored a scholarship!
Last month, the SEI group donated
$1,000.00 to the ASCE MIB scholarship fund! We plan to
provide a yearly scholarship, drawing some of our funding through
events like the Golf Outing and the Post-Tensioning
Seminar. Please keep this in mind when considering these
activities (and others with ASCE), as this will be an ongoing
effort. Thanks for the support you’ve all shown to date!
* We are
always seeking new topic ideas and meeting locations. If you are
not attending our meetings because the topic does not interest you,
please suggest topics!! We are also in need of updated contact
information. Please contact

* Anyone
who has structural questions about INDOT related items that they
would like to see presented to the INDOT-ASCE Structural
Committee please contact either Mike Obergfell with USI Consultants

This committee meets quarterly and is open to suggestions at any
time.

Subject: Page Sponsorship Program of Indiana Civil
Engineer
This is just a note to
plug the Page Sponsorship Program of the Indiana Section’s
newsletter, Indiana Civil Engineer. It
would mean a great deal to the Indiana Section’s budget if the
newsletter were to be more self-supporting. The way that this could
happen is for more companies to step up and sponsor a page, either
on a “continuing” basis or once per year. We publish three times per
year: February, June and November. This gets a sponsor’s name in
front of people important to them at a very economical price of $150
per insertion. If you would like more information on sponsorship,
