Student Club Secretary

After an amazing fourth place finish in our region’s concrete canoe competition our team has a great outlook for the future and we are determined to take this year’s boat to nationals.  We are only one month into the school year, but have already got an incredible start on our boat.  We are utilizing knowledge gained through past competitions to try some new ideas this year; we are all really excited.

We have a great deal of construction going on here at USI to accommodate our always growing student population.  Our engineering program here has also had continued growth.  Enrollment is up 7 percent form last year.  Our club has many returning members, and has already seen interest from the freshman class.  We hope that the success that we have had and hope to continue having with the canoe along with the success of the other engineering clubs on campus will help to draw more students here each year.
