Welcome!

Welcome to the official website of the Kansas City Section of ASCE Younger Member’s Group (YMG).  If you are looking for a group of young engineers who like to work hard and play hard you have found the organization for you.  The YMG is deeply rooted in community service events, social events, and professional development functions that benefit ASCE Members 35 and younger in the Kansas City Metro area.  To achieve all the great things we do, I must thank the continual support of the Kansas City Section board members. Without their support, we could not, and would not be as influential to the Kansas City residents in our community service endeavors.  I would also like to thank my fellow young engineers; without you the YMG wouldn’t be what it has been and what it will be for years to come.

As president this year, I am looking forward to continuing a pattern of growth for the Kansas City YMG.  In the past year we have continued our growth with higher attendance at our monthly meetings.  As we continue to grow, I challenge every Kansas City YMG member to bring a friend or coworker out to the monthly meetings or to one of our numerous service projects and professional development opportunities.  With your help, not only will our membership continue to grow, but we will be able to better serve the residents of Kansas City.  With larger numbers, we will be able to reach more students in area schools, help the disadvantaged with our community service events, and provide more functions for our members.  We are saving a spot for you at one of our meetings and many events, so come out and join us.
