“Design for Constructability” is a course at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) designed to expose students to topics in construction engineering and general constructability principles for steel structures. This seminar will discuss several case studies, which highlight the importance of constructability to the success of a project, and provide an overview of topics covered in this course.

Ryan McClure attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Civil engineering. Ryan has worked in the steel industry in multiple roles for 14 years, and has extensive experience in the design of structural steel connections, miscellaneous steel design, metal bar joist, corrugated metal deck, design build, value engineering and building information modeling. Ryan currently holds professional engineering licenses in NY, VT, FL and CA. Outside of Stone Bridge, Ryan is also a part time adjunct faculty member of RPI and teaches a course on designing for constructability.
