EVENT DETAIL

The 11^th Annual Capital Region Geotechnical Symposium will be held on November 15, 2019 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York.  The symposium will include seven presentations (each planned to be approved for 1 professional development hour), breakfast, lunch and a closing reception.  This event is sponsored by the ASCE Mohawk-Hudson Section and organizations like yours.  The symposium historically attracts over 100 attendees from the Capital District and surrounding areas.  Presenters this year will include established engineers and researchers from Bencor Global, Inc., GEI Consultants, GeoStabilization International, Blue Iron Inc., Magnum Geo-Solutions, and Bergmann Architects, Engineers and Planners.  

In addition to helping keep the cost of the event reasonable, the net proceeds from the Symposium are used to support local ASCE Student Chapters and the ASCE Mohawk-Hudson Simpson Memorial Scholarship fund.
