The NC and SC Section will have a joint Fall Meeting September 11-12, 2008, at the Mariott Executive Park in Charlotte, NC .
Deadline for reserving a room at the
conference rate is August 20th. Early conference registration deadline has been extended to August 27th.
This event will provide seminars, a field trip, plus lunch on Friday, September 12. Participants may earn a maximum of 10.5 PDHs, including 3 PDHs during field trip.

Let's Build
On Sept. 15, ASCE volunteers were on hand to help celebrate Curious George Day at the Boston Public Library Children’s Reading Room. Hundreds of children and families gathered throughout the day to take part in activities from the Curious George “Let’s Build” program. ASCE has joined Universal Studios and Scholastic Inc. in developing educational materials that introduce engineering design concepts to students in grades K-1. The Curious George kite activity and the famous marshmallow bridge activities were designed to reinforce objects and concepts familiar to little ones who want to “become a builder” just like George Click here to read about E-Week.
