2010 ASCE President -Elect


The New Jersey Section of ASCE is proud to have nominated Moustafa Gouda, P. E., F.ASCE for the 2010 ASCE President-elect. On April 23, 2009 the ASCE nominating committee forwarded Moustafa Gouda's name as one of two official candidates for 2010 President-elect of the Society. In addition to Moustfa Gouda, the nominating committee forwarded Kathy Caldwell, P.E. of the Florida Section as an official candidate.

Moustafa is a past President of the Philadelphia and New Jersey Sections, past District 1 Director, and past Society Treasurer. He is currently a Governor of the Geo-Institute and Chair of the Joint Engineers Contract Document Committee EJCDC.

2007 Report Card for New Jersey's Infrastructure

The New Jersey Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers has announced it's 2007 Report Card for New Jersey's Infrastructure.

The cumlative GPA for New Jersey's Infrastructure is C-

The intent of this Infrastructure Report Card is to raise public awareness of the impact crumbling infrastructure is having on our daily lives, and the many issues and decisions that face our State as we strive to maintain and improve our infrastructure. We believe discussion of the issues detailed in this report will lead to a greater understanding of the current and future needs of our State, prompting decision makers in our communities and in the legislature to formulate policies and provide the necessary funding to address New Jersey's infrastructure needs.


Liquid Assets, The Story of Our Water Infrastructure.

The New Jersey Section of ASCE held three town hall meetings about the Penn State University's Liquid Assets program earlier this year.

Liquid Assets is a public media and outreach initiative that seeks to inform the nation about the critical role that our water infrastructure plays in protecting public health and promoting economic prosperity.
