2017 AASHTO LRFD Specifications: Review of Substantial Updates (1 PDH)
This month’s presentation focuses on recently adopted changes to the AASHTO LRFD Design and Construction Specifications. The presentation highlights many substantial updates to the design of steel and concrete bridges including the complete rewrite of LRFD Chapter 5 – Concrete that will appear in the 2017 AASHTO LRFD 8th edition. The background to many of these changes will be explained. The presentation will discuss the updates and provide an opportunity at the end for Q&A regarding these and other recent changes to the Specifications.
