The Immediate Past President assists the President serving as source of information and guidance, as requested. He/she has responsibility for nominations for awards and activities of the Past Presidents Committee, serving as the chair of those committees. He/she serves as Board contact for the Awards, Nominating, and Past Presidents Committees and may serve as Board contact for other committees. He/she is responsible for calling the first meeting of the Nominating Committee.

If the elected President must vacate that office during his/her term, the Immediate Past President shall serve an additional term in that office for the next year.
