Joint Meeting with SEAW: The Views on Fifth in Olympia

Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - 06:00 PM

Join us this year for our annual meeting with the Structural Engineers Association of Washington! The project topic this year is the Views on Fifth apartment project in Olympia. This project was an especially challenging one with significant design obstacles to overcome in seismic upgrades and regulatory history. It involved adding three stories to a 9-story tower and upgrading the building to current seismic code. The original building was constructed in 1964 on loose soil in a particularly challenging part of Olympia.

You won’t want to miss this one!
