SR 115 OVER I-81 INTERCHANGE RECONFIGURATION PROJECT (LUZERNE COUNTY, PA)

PennDOT District 4 proposes to reconstruct the existing I-81 Exit 170 Interchange in Plains Township, Luzerne County. Project includes new road connections, new acceleration lanes, complicated erosion and sedimentation control with significant stormwater system improvements and the replacement of three bridges to
improve traffic flow and increase vertical under clearance.

- Chris Smith, PE, is a Modjeski & Masters Vice President and the Regional Director of the Pennsylvania Structures Business Unit with over 25-year experience. Chris was the Project Manager for the SR 115 project serving as the single point of contact between the consultant team and District 4-0
- Mike House, PE is a Modjeski & Masters Project Manager in the Pennsylvania Structures Business Unit with 26 years of transportation design experience. Mike was the project’s Erosion and Sedimentation Control Lead.
- Steve Baird, PE works at Modjeski & Masters and has 21 years of experience in the management and design of transportation improvement projects. Steve was instrumental in the Traffic Control, construction staging, overall highway design, and project delivery.
- Shawn Throne, PE works at Modjeski & Masters and has 16 years of experience in the design of complex and non-complex highway bridge projects throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland. Shawn was the Structures Task Manager for the project
