7th Annual Battle of the Bridges Contest
The 7th annual Battle of the Bridges Contest will be held at the Putnam Museum in Davenport with teams of all ages welcome to participate. The objective of the competition is to build a model bridge onsite with the provided tools and materials within 2.5 hours and have the greatest support efficiency.
Prizes: Bridges with the highest structural efficiency (E=maximum load/bridge mass) will be awarded prizes in each category (1st, 2nd, 3rd) with a "Most Innovative" judged from all. An award will also be given out to the high school team with the most innovative bridge design. All high school teams will receive points from the event as part of the QC Tech Challenge.
