Tennessee Infrastructure Report Cards
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the TN Section of ASCE released the 2022 Report Card on Tennessee’s Infrastructure. Evan Boulanger, TN Section president, kicked off the event and then turned it over to Committee Chair, Monica Sartain, to release the grades and recommendations. The Report gave infrastructure in TN an overall grade of C. The highest grade was for Bridges, B, and the lowest grades were for Dams & Transit, D+. After reviewing the report, Rebekah Hammonds of TDOT, Angela Jones of TDEC, and Jason Spain of TPTA each spoke about their area of interest. The Press Conference closed with questions from the media. Media in attendance included Nashville’s Fox 17 & WKRN 2. The Press Conference garnered multiple reports on both Fox & WKRN, and online news articles.
