Throughout the year, the Section holds monthly events from September through May. Each event consists of a technical presentation on a specific project, or civil engineering discipline, and sometimes a tour of a job site when possible. Each meeting includes networking, dinner and drinks, and is eligible for one to two Professional Development Hours depending on the length of the presentation and/or job site tour.
Section events are typically held on the third Thursday of each month, with some exceptions when noted. Registration begins around 5:30pm, networking from 5:30pm to 6pm, followed by dinner, and the presentation, which are typically about an hour in length. When included, tours are typically held prior to the dinner and presentation, and count towards the event’s total Professional Development Hours.
