  • Received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
  • Licensed P.E. in Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, and Missouri
  • Project manager at Stantec for 21 years specializing in dams and dam safety. 
  • Certified Floodplain Manager
  • Leadership PE graduate (2009)
  • Past recipient of the Distinguished Engineer in Private Practice, ASCE KY Section (2013)

Volunteer:

  • Served as an officer in the Blue Grass Branch of ASCE (Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President, President), 2005-2008
  • Served as an officer in the Kentucky Section of ASCE (Treasurer, Secretary, President, Past-President), 2008 – 2012
  • Served as Kentucky Section Region 4 Delegate, 2007 - 2012
  • Currently serves as Region IV Governor of ASCE (since 2012)

  • Mathcounts and E-week / school volunteer
  • Serves on the Committee on Education Outreach for the Association of State Dam Safety Officials
  • Served on the 2011 Kentucky Infrastructure Report Card Committee (Dams Chair)
