1973 - 1979 - Civil Engineer, W L Phillips, Falls Church, VA & Tectonic, Somerville, NJ

1979 - 1982 - City Engineer & Director of Public Works,  Lebanon,NH

1982  - 1994 - Founder & Principal, Pantel Associates, Lyme, NH Engineers & Land Surveyors doing engineering for structures, water supply  &  wastewater, site development and land surveying.

1994 - 2001 - Town Engineer positions in Littleton, NH; Hooksett, NH & Windsor, VT

2002-2005 -  Hospital Facilities Engineer - VA Medical Center, White River Junction, VT

CURRENT- Structural/Civil Engineer, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) since 2005.
Design and Project Management of US Navy Shore Facilities.
Based at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard,Kittery,Maine,except 2010 to 2013 was stationed at Joint US/Spanish Naval Base in Rota, Spain.

Current Projects - Dry Dock Repairs for USS Constitution at Boston National Historic Park, Repairs to Pumpwell for Dry Dock 3 at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard

Professional Activities

Active continuously since Student Chapter Memberships at Lehigh &  N C State. Chapter office in Upper Valley NH/VT, & Northern Virginia

During my diverse career ASCE has provided a link to our broader profession as well as an ongoing opportunity to keep my skills current over the years.

Awards

Honors - US Navy Civilian Engineer of the Year, 2011, for Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia.
