Dear David,

Here is another exciting event brought to you by Rochester Section of American Society of Civil Engineers.

PDH Pending

Begun in 1817 and opened in its entirety 1825, the Erie Canal is considered the engineering marvel of the 19th Century. When the federal government concluded that the project was too ambitious to undertake, the State of New York took on the task of carving 363 miles of canal through the wilderness with nothing but the muscle power of men and horses. Join us for an evening where two extinguish speakers from Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor presents the history of one of the greatest engineering marvels of all time.

Speakers:
Bob Radliff, Executive Director, Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor
Duncan Hay,  Historian ,  Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor
