Topic: Understanding and Relating to Others - by Ross Brazzale and Joshua Shin

Relating to Others for Success at Work: "Making Bad Relationships Good, and Good Relationships Better" - how the knowledge of People's Styles at Work and Beyond helps team members across generations and backgrounds adjust, grow, and achieve at work.

Also at this meeting we will acknowledge local recipients of two prestigious ASCE awards:

  • Region 8 Large Project of the Year award: Climate Pledge Arena
  • 2022 OCEA award: Rainier Square Redevelopment

We will also hold our induction ceremony for new officers and share our vision for the coming year.

Speaker Bio: Ross Brazzale - is a civil/structural project engineer at the Seattle Department of Transportation.  He is the Programming Chair for the ASCE Seattle Section, and has also been involved in WAsafe and Engineers Without Borders.  Ross is midwest transplant that cherishes the opportunity to serve in inproving the region's transportation and municipal infrastructure.  In his free time he enjoys being outside in all weather, cooking delicious food, and hanging out and learning with his son and wife.

Speaker Bio: Joshua Shin - is a structural engineer and has been involved with ASCE since college.  He's been actively involved both within the Younger Members Forum and the Diversity Committee with the Seattle Section. Josh grew up in the area, and is very proud of working on numerous local projects. In his free time, he enjoys going out into nature (ie backpacking, hiking, and bouldering).
