Seattle Waterfront Program
Speaker: Jessica Murphy PE, City of Seattle, Office of the Waterfront and Civic Project
The City of Seattle is rebuilding Seattle’s central waterfront. Now that the Alaskan Way Viaduct removal is complete, the City is constructing a park promenade along the water, building a new surface street along Alaskan Way, rebuilding Pier 58 and Pier 62, building an elevated connection from Pike Place Market to the waterfront, and improving east-west connections between downtown and Elliott Bay. This effort, called Waterfront Seattle, is a $728M, multi-year investment between now and 2024. It is led by the City of Seattle’s Office of the Waterfront and Civic Projects. Learn more about how this program of projected fits into the bigger picture of the waterfront transformation that began over a decade ago and how the first year of construction is going one year into the largest single project in the Program.

Jessica Murphy PE, City of Seattle, Office of the Waterfront and Civic Project currently serves as the Construction Program Manager for the City’s $728M Waterfront Program and Project Manager for the $100M Overlook Walk project. Jessica is a long-time project manager for the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) overseeing such projects as the Elliott Bay Seawall Project, S Lander St Bridge Project, First Hill Streetcar and countless paving projects.
