SpeedCore in Practice: Where we Started, Where we are, and Where We're Going.
SpeedCore, the concrete filled composite plate shear wall system, has come a long way in a brief time in structural engineering practice. Construction on the first SpeedCore system started in 2017, and as fast as the system moved from research to practice, the implementations of real-world informed improvements have been faster. This presentation will focus on how practical experience has led to significant improvments in this novel system, how these were implemented in the latest SpeedCore building completing this year, and improvments expected to be implemented in future iterations.
