Innovating Infrastructure Management using 3-D Technologies - Real World Solutions focused on solving Real World Problems

In today’s economy, we are forced to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible to accomplish more with significantly reduced budgets and resources.  Through staff attrition, our workforce knowledge and experience has also dramatically diminished over recent years leaving the younger and less experienced staff to seek new or innovative methods for performing the required tasks at a reduced cost. In addition to diminished resources and lack of experience, we often look to innovative technologies with the goal of reducing errors in reporting and to perform analysis with an unbiased, data driven expectation.

RDV Systems is a pioneer and provider of such innovative 3-D technologies. RDV's focus is on improving communication about infrastructure projects and improving road safety through geometric analyses.  The technology is designed to provide a real-world visual that helps the users communicate and gain better situational awareness.  Leveraging 3-D helps to improve communication about project plans by providing a “picture” to key stakeholders including the project team, public stakeholders and leadership. This presentation will focus on the use of 3-D technologies and how it helps to improve communications and the decision process affecting our infrastructure.
