Parking Garage Design and Rehabilitation
What goes into a parking garage and how do you go from a flat piece of land to a 6-story structure? How do you know how wide to make the parking stalls or how tall the levels need to be? Once the structure has been built, how does one maintain the same level of service conditioning across the lifespan of said structure? Once the structure has been built, is there any room for modifications to be made in the future. By the end of this presentation, we hope to answer all these questions and more as we go over the design process of building a parking garage as well as maintaining and repairing it to maintain everyday operations. Furthermore, we will also be going over some of our experience working with retrofitting and updating parking structures to meet the needs of today’s vehicles and client needs.
