TOPIC: Storm Drainage Design for Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal
The initial design for the drainage system incorporated reinforced concrete pipe and concrete box culverts, but the engineer working on the project raised concerns about possible joint separation and the potential for infiltration from sub-surface soil settlement along the Cooper River. This presentation will focus on the ADS solution.
Brent Hutchinson, PE, SC Engineered Product Manger - Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.
Brent is a civil engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with an emphasis in transportation design. His twenty years in stormwater include nearly ten years with a construction products manufacturer in Georgia providing design assistance with metal and HDPE pipes, underground chambers produced by multiple manufacturers as well as multiple proprietary water quality devices. He designed commercial projects utilizing above ground and underground detention/retention systems in the private sector in rout to obtaining his South Carolina PE license in water resources. Brent has now been with ADS for six years as the South Carolina engineering representative.
