Volunteer Event for Home Works
The potential homeowner we will be serving is 80 years old and now lives alone after her husband and four children passed away. Half of her roof was repaired in 2015 after the flood and now the other half of the roof is in need of repair. This effort will greatly alleviate leaks and worsening rot, allowing her to continue living there safely moving forward.
Our team will be led by a skilled site leader from Home Works. No prior experience is necessary and many activities will take place on the ground.
Volunteers please remember to wear work clothes/old clothes and sneakers/boots. No open-toed shoes allowed. Home Works will provide needed tools and safety gear (glasses, gloves etc.).
Cost of repair supplies will be completely covered by Home Works. To help alleviate the burden, please consider donating funds to the project. Location information will be provided to those who register.
