Dr. John Cook of the University of Melbourne will discuss the types of fallacies prevalent in climate change misinformation and disinformation and how identifying these misleading rhetorical techniques and reasoning approaches can help combat misinformation and disinformation. Dr. Emily Vraga, the Don and Carole Larson Professor of Health Communication at the University of Minnesota, will discuss approaches to debunking misinformation and disinformation and how these techniques can be applied to the climate change debate.
