PIANC Presents: Fort Mifflin USACE Philadelphia Dredging Operation

Please join the PIANC-USA Young Professionals Committee for a technical tour of USACE Philadelphia District Fort Mifflin dredging operations followed by a happy hour. This event is open to all career levels. No fee or membership is required to participate. This event will consist of a guided tour of the Fort Mifflin field office, piers, and three cell dredge material disposal area as well as the 300’ hopper dredge McFarland. Representatives of USACE Philadelphia District will share details of the ongoing Delaware River Main Channel Deepening Project, involving deepening the Delaware River federal navigation channel from 40 ft to 45 ft along 102.5 miles. Afterwards, participants are invited to happy hour at Chickie’s & Pete’s for complimentary appetizers and beverages. Dredging specialists from Weeks Marine will be on hand to share their insights and discuss recent projects.
