Advances in Vermont Landslide Hazard Mapping and Debris Flow Research

Join ASCE’s Vermont Section for an evening of technical presentations, networking, and dynamic discussions on slope stability across the state. This year’s meeting will focus on the latest research and mapping initiatives surrounding landslides and debris flows in Vermont.
Two Technical Presentations:
• Statewide Public-Facing Landslide Mapping Project: An overview of the recent joint initiative by the Vermont Geological Survey (VGS) and the Vermont Center for Geographic Information (VCGI). Presenters include Ben DeJong, PG, PhD, Emma Myrick (VGS), and John VanHoesen (VCGI).
• Vermont Landslide & Debris Flow Project: An update on joint research undertaken by VTrans and UVM, presented by Dr. Ehsan Ghazanfari (UVM)
and Callie Ewald, PE (VTrans). This event will be $40 for members, $50 for non-members, and free for life members and students. Registration includes a buffet-style dinner and 2 PDHs. A cash bar will be available.
