Site Tour Description (1 PDH)

On behalf of the University of Vermont, Fitzgerald Environmental Associates assisted with the design, permitting, and construction oversight of the removal of an in-stream irrigation pond on Bartlett Brook in South Burlington on the UVM Horticultural Farm property. The dam was removed and approximately 650 linear feet of stream was restored within the existing pond bottom. In addition, a box culvert was installed below the existing dam embankment for an agricultural access road crossing. The tour will consist of an on-site tour of the restoration project. Muck boots are recommended if you would like an up-close view of the stream and floodplain restoration but not necessary.

More information about site access will be sent out closer to the event.
