Midlands Nuclear Plant Settlement Issues

The Midland Nuclear Electric Plant, in Midland Michigan, was designed as two pressurized water reactors. The facility was designed in the late '60's and was under construction during the 1970's and early '80's. During this period the Auxiliary and Diesel Generator buildings experienced significant settlement which required extensive and expensive remediation. 

Mike will address the root causes and steps to address the settlement and discuss the lessons learned from this experience.
