Event From Date
Wednesday, September 13, 2017 - 12:00 PM

Mr. Given will present estimating techniques utilized by contractors in today’s market place. A discussion on the importance of a detailed and defined scope of work will be examined and how the lack of the same can lead to vast cost ranges. A full view into the direct expenses that drive the project costs will be discussed including labor, material, equipment and the use of specialty subcontractors. Soft and indirect costs will be examined such as supervision, overhead, schedule, owners, payment terms, and unique project conditions. The impact of current trends in the construction industry will be considered and how they have impacted bid proposals.
