Please join CSCE at our monthly meeting at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The meeting co-sponsors are the CT Chapter of the ASCE Construction Institute and the ASCE Student Chapter at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. At this meeting, Reihaneh Samsami, Ph.D., P.E., CAPM, Tagliatela Family Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator, MS in Construction Engineering and Management at UNH, will give a presentation on Integrating AI with Civil Engineering: Future Directions and Innovations. Join Dr. Reihaneh Samsami as she explores the transformative impact of AI in civil engineering. This presentation will delve into current applications and future innovations that AI promises in the field. It will cover practical examples, collaborative research insights, and discuss the broader implications of AI adoption in civil engineering projects and education. Attendees may earn 1 NYS PDH at this meeting.

Dr. Reihaneh Samsami, Ph.D., P.E., CAPM, is the Tagliatela Family Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the MS in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of New Haven. With extensive expertise in integrating advanced tools such as AI and UAVs with construction practices, Dr. Samsami is a leading voice in the adaptation of futuristic technologies in civil engineering.

Please note that the USCGA requires visitors to show an ID at its gate entrance.

Parking Directions: After 4:00 p.m., people can park throughout the campus, except in parking spots with signage denoting that they are reserved for USCGA staff. Please see the campus map below for the location of the Consolidated Club (#33 on map) and nearby parking lots.

CSCE Members - No NYS PDH: $55.00 Note: To be considered for CSCE Member registration, people need to be current on their CT Section Dues. 

CSCE Members who want to earn 1 NYS PDH: $65.00 Note: To be considered for CSCE Member registration, people need to be current on their CT Section Dues. 

Non CSCE Members - No NYS PDH: $65.00

Non CSCE Members who want to earn 1 NYS PDH: $75.00

Full Time Students - No NYS PDH: $30.00

Unemployed CSCE Members: No Charge

Only attending the presentation - No meal: No Charge

Reservations received and accepted after April 9th, may incur a $10 additional fee. 

Payment is required with registration unless other arrangements are made. CSCE cannot give refunds after the final dinner order has been placed.
