Please join CSCE for this webinar on the tools that CTDOT has developed for MS4 permit compliance that is sponsored by the CT Chapter of the ASCE Environmental & Water Resources Institute. These tools include the public facing CTDOT GIS Drainage Map (CTDOT Drainage Network Interactive Map). Using this map, CTDOT will demonstrate how drainage assets are collected within the CTDOT GIS schema, how condition ratings are performed and how areas of potential stormwater quality BMP’s are identified. Jason Coite, P.E., is the Principal Engineer with the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Office of Environmental Compliance. He is a professional engineer with over 25 year of experience in environmental compliance. He has held various environmental compliance and permitting rolls with the CTDOT over the past seven years. Prior to joining CTDOT, he had similar responsibilities while serving on University of Connecticut’s environmental compliance staff, including starting the University’s MS4 program when institutions became regulated under the Small MS4 permit. Mr. Coite started his career working for a Connecticut environmental consulting firm.
Daniel Imig, P.E., is a Supervising Engineering for CTDOT's Office of Environmental Compliance. He is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in environmental engineering and stormwater quality compliance. He has worked for the Office of Environmental Compliance since 2018. His responsibilities include leading a dedicated team of engineers responsible for maintaining compliance with CTDOT’s MS4 permit and assisting capital projects with managing contaminated soil, groundwater and hazardous materials. Over the course of his career, Mr. Imig has worked for consulting firms in New England, Virginia and Georgia and has also worked for the City of Alexandria, Virginia managing the City’s MS4 program.
Jeremy Willcox is a Transportation Planner for CTDOT's Office of Environmental Planning. He has over 10 years of experience in MS4 compliance and in using GIS. He has worked for the Office of Environmental Planning for ten years. His responsibilities include ensuring CTDOT’s drainage network is mapped utilizing the most updated technologies, creating abilities for drainage assets to be inspected and overseeing projects in construction to ensure environmental permit commitments are met and Erosion & Sedimentation controls are in place.
