Tighe & Bond provided design and construction phase services to rehabilitate and upgrade five pump stations in Stratford, Connecticut. The five major wastewater pumping stations across the Town of Stratford underwent rehabilitation, equipment replacement, and resiliency upgrades. Rehabilitation and equipment replacement efforts at each of the pump stations included new process, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical components. For flood resiliency, each of the pump stations were designed and constructed to remain operational and protected during a 100-year plus 3-foot elevation flood event.

The Stratford Wastewater Pump Station project prioritized cost-effective capital improvements to harden wastewater infrastructure against storm events. Tighe & Bond, the Town of Stratford and their project partners upgraded five critical pump stations in flood prone areas to improve resiliency, ventilation, and odor control. The project team gained public support and unprecedented project funding from state agencies, cutting costs for the municipality.
