There is interest in a broad range of projects and topics related to geotechnical engineering design and construction projects in the Connecticut Valley region (New England and New York). Topics for presentation should deal with geotechnical design, construction, or facilities involving:

  1. Complex soil-structure interactions analyzed with creative use of computer assisted data acquisition, processing, and analysis;
  2. Utilization of computers in the evaluation, maintenance, and performance of geotechnical facilities;
  3. Computational modeling for engineering design or forensic analysis;
  4. Environmental, hydrologic, and/or geologic testing and modeling using computational analysis;
  5. Computer assisted construction techniques and quality assurance/quality control measures;
  6. Artificial Intelligence applications for geotechnical data acquisition, laboratory and field testing, analysis, and report preparation;
  7. Ethical implications of computer assisted analysis and engineering judgement.

Abstracts should be less than 500 words and should be related to the seminar topic. Authors whose draft papers are accepted must register, submit a final paper, and present at the seminar.
