Student Scholarship Essays Due November 30, 2023

The Inland Empire chapter of ASCE is pleased to announce its 2023/2024 scholarship application!
This year’s scholarship essay prompt is:
How do you see climate change affecting your civil engineering career?
Essays should be one single page, no smaller than 10-point font, and include the full name, email address, phone number, school, and class status (Senior, Junior, etc.) of the applicant on the document. Essays will be reviewed by the ASCE Technical Education Committee based on
creative approach, incorporation of engineering principles, and clarity of expression.
Two scholarships being offered
- First place: $2,000
- Runner up: $1,000
One first place and one runner up scholarship will be selected from the pool of applicants from Gonzaga, University of Idaho, and Washington State University.
