Established in 1916, the ASCE Michigan Section is one of the largest and most active Sections maintaining over 2,500 members. There are 6 active Branches in Michigan including the Northwest, Western, Saginaw Valley, Southwest, Lansing/Jackson, and Southeast. Civil Engineers in Michigan are encouraged to join ASCE to develop leadership skills, enhance their knowledge of the latest technology and engineering practices, and to network with other civil engineering professionals.

SCHOLARSHIPS - The Michigan Section of the ASCE encourages the advancement of the Civil Engineering profession by qualified and interested students. To that end, the ASCE Michigan Section offers financial support through two scholarships. These scholarships have been endowed through the efforts and generosity of individual Civil Engineers and leading Civil Engineering companies throughout Michigan.
SECTION AWARDS - Project and individual awards are presented annually during the Michigan Infrastructure Conference. Project awards include Historic Engineering Landmark, Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement, and Quality of Life. Individual awards consist of Franklin D. Meyers Civil Engineer of the Year and Young Civil Engineer of the Year.
